KFM help for Ukraine

The war in Ukraine has caused organisations across the NHS and the healthcare sector to ask what they can do to help.

KFM has identified 40 pallets of excess medical stock of the type that will be required in Ukraine to deal with common injuries, which is worth around £50k. KFM are working with the UK government to secure a way of ensuring it is delivered to the people in Ukraine that need it.

Giving a personal donation

The Disasters Emergency Committee, a coalition of 15 leading UK charities, has launched its appeal to provide emergency aid to civilians suffering during the conflict. Individuals are encouraged to donate to this fund.

No one expected to be responding to this kind of crisis in Europe in 2022, but the Disaster Emergency Committee charities are helping people both inside Ukraine and in neighbouring countries including; Poland, Hungary, Moldova, Slovakia and Romania.

KFM’s Health Service Journal (HSJ) Partnership Award co-finalist, Medstrom, is donating 100 beds in collaboration with a charity on the Polish-Ukrainian border. The charity, the WOŚP Foundation, is one of the biggest charities in Poland and raises money for paediatric and elderly care.
