KFM Technologists support King's College Hospital at Liver Intensive Care Conference in London

Last week, our Critical Care Technologists joined doctors and nurses from King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust for the Liver Intensive Care Conference, at the Fetal Medicine Research Institute, in London.

The conference welcomes visitors from all over the world with a healthcare or clinical background, to two days of educational talks about liver disease, transplantation and surgery.

KFM's Technical Operations Manager, Edward Macapagal, and Dave Gardner, Lead Critical Care Technologist, presented two workshops on vital medical equipment used for liver treatment: Therapy Plasma Exchange and Primary Acute Care Systems.

Edward and Dave are part of our Technologist team who support the equipment maintenance at King's critical care wards and provide technical training for staff.

The team look forward to participating in next year's event and supporting King's multi-disciplinary team in their liver teachings and knowledge sharing.
