KFM and St John & St Elizabeth Hospital enter into partnership to deliver an end-to-end procurement and supply chain service

On Wednesday 1 November 2023, KFM entered into a contract with St John & St Elizabeth Hospital (HJE) to provide an end-to-end procurement and supply chain service.

This new service provided by KFM means HJE gains greater access to state-of-the-art technology, improved efficiencies and cost savings that will enhance both patient and staff experience, whilst improving sustainability efforts.

Through new ways of working, HJE will be able to further transform their services by receiving support with the procurement and management of all medical consumables. This includes using Omnicell Supply X technology, which has been designed to optimise inventory clinically and financially as well as enhance patient care through stock availability.

With greater visibility over inventory, this new partnership model will lead to increased service efficiency by freeing up clinical time to focus on patient care and enable HJE to stay at the forefront of medical technology.

Simon James, CEO St John & St Elizabeth Hospital, said “At St John & St Elizabeth Hospital, our goal is to provide safe high-quality care, which we have done for more than 165 years. Our partnership with KFM will help us drive down operational costs and through working efficiencies allow our staff more time to care. We are excited about this new approach and look forward to a fruitful partnership with KFM.”

Additionally, this innovative collaboration means HJE can increase focus on its sustainability targets by embracing agile technology, reducing waste, and continuing to take steps towards achieving Net Zero, with both partners committed to reducing their carbon emissions.

Andy Lockwood, Chief Executive of KFM, said “At KFM, we are committed to collaborating with our customers and all suppliers, to continue delivering cutting-edge solutions. By combining KFM’s award-winning clinical procurement, supply chain and logistic capabilities with HJE’s industry-leading specialists and commitment to delivering the highest quality patient care, this partnership will bring a wealth of benefits to patients and staff.”
